Hi,
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would like to give you a short precis of how; and why, I came to create as I do. Also to explain how it is that I have come to GIVE my art away.
It is 2006 my marriage has broken down, I am a mother of 3 children, I lost my partner suddenly and traumatically, and to top it all off I then lost my home. 😒😢
I was at my lowest ebb.
My mind and body had given up.
I slowly fought back and part of what helped me was moving to the beautiful Welsh coastline.
I began to understand that the ocean enabled me to let go of trauma, to feel stronger and let anxiety pass through me.
Being on the coast, walking wide open bays, feeling the salty wind on my face, hearing the white noise of the incoming tide – all led to me feeling free yet grounded. I felt ecstatic, energised and peaceful. Small, yet important.
I have connected with the power of the sea with my mind and body, and my artwork began to reflect this.
My paintings describe and express the atmosphere, the place, in colour and texture of these dramatic movements of water.
I am not just painting the scene, I am living it! And inviting you to experience it with me.
So why give my art away?
Expressing feelings and atmosphere through texture and paint is my passion. I am driven to continue a journey which has brought me so much joy and restored a sense of well-being and hope.
I want to share this, to connect with people, to find those who would “get this.” People who would love my work and benefit from the positivity it exudes.

About Jo Frost
Jo earned a BA Hons in Fine Art, specializing in Sculpture, and continued to develop her skills in the field.
Following her PGCE, she taught art in secondary education and later completed an MA in Contemporary Dialogues, Art & Design.
Inspired by her connection to the ocean, Jo has honed a distinctive, expressive style that has garnered attention within the art community.
Her work can be found in private collections in the UK, Europe, and other locations.
Throughout her career, Jo has exhibited her work in both solo and group shows at various venues, including cities such as Preston, Colchester, Wells, St David, Tenby, Narbeth, and Llandeilo.
Publications such as Pembrokeshire Life, Wells and Wales on Line have featured her achievements and creative process, further highlighting her commitment to the world of art.
